Nyonya Pineapple Tart second trial January 10, 2009

The first trial of Nyonya Pineapple Tart is a failure with not enough of butter. After getting the correct measurement of butter from Chinnee, I decided to try it again. This round, I refer to CN recipe and add some corn flour …

150g flour
100g butter
20g corn flour
1 egg yolk

Also, I didn’t use the mixer to mix the ingredients; instead I use the spatula to mix it before I knead it with my hand. :)

According to my mum, she said this after her first bite to the tart “this only call pineapple tart….. those you made last time……. “ LOL

Yes, it is yummy!!!

u use butter? i thought u dont like milky taste?

haha…nicer ? Btw, u need to dilute (add water to your egg yolk) for brushing so it wont come out too dark.

If u find adding strips on top troublesome, you can just add a DOT with your dough on top.
